JEAN SHRIMPTON- AGE 77 YEARS
One of the world’s first supermodels, Jean Shrimpton, was considered an icon of Swinging London. She featured on several magazine covers, including Vogue, Elle, Vanity Fair, and Harper’s Bazaar. Moreover, Harper’s Bazaar also named her one of the 26 best models of all time in 2009.
Shrimpton started dating photographer David Bailey in 1960, and the couple was together for around four years. Bailey was already married to his wife but divorced her to be with Jean. Their relationship was dramatized in We’ll Take Manhattan, a BBC Four film. In 1979, she married photographer Michael Cox and gave birth to a baby boy the same year.
